Bendel is founded

Bendel began manufacturing carbon steel tanks in Charlotte, North Carolina, in 1963 under the name of Atlas Steel Products Company. Originally established to manufacture storage tanks and mobile truck tanks for the petroleum industry. Over the years, our capabilities & facilities have evolved to support the fabrication of a wide range of vessels, tanks, and equipment to serve a variety of industries.
Atlas Steel Products Company Becomes Bendel Corporation

Our company name was changed to Bendel Corporation when our manufacturing division was spun-off from the parent company. (Primary ownership remained unchanged.) Over the years, we continued to advance our capabilities and expand our staff with exceptional engineering and fabrication talent to serve our customers' most demanding fabrication needs.
Bendel Corporation becomes Bendel Tank & Heat Exchanger

In 2012, our company name was updated to Bendel Tank & Heat Exchanger, to reflect our specialized capabilities and core expertise. Bendel excels in the fabrication of specialized vessels, tanks, and equipment—and has earned a reputation for its superior shell & tube heat exchanger fabrication expertise.
TransTech acquires Tubular Structures International to Augment Fabrication Capabilities ("TSI")

Tubular Structures International ("TSI"), a leading fabricator of ASME pressure vessels, storage vessels, process vessels and equipment, offers special expertise in the construction large diameter, high-pressure, heavy-walled pressure vessels, and tubular structures.
TransTech acquires Bendel Tank & Heat Exchanger to Expand Fabrication Capabilities, Grow Texas Presence

Bendel is a 60-year-old designer and fabricator of pressure vessels, reactors, TEMA heat exchangers, and API-650 and -620 storage vessels, using specialty metals including stainless steel, nickel ally and others. Situated in Charlotte, NC, the company produces engineered products to nationally recognized standards including ASME, API, TEMA, and UL.

TransTech Acquires Metalforms to Enhance Capabilities, Accelerate Growth

Based in Beaumont, TX, Metalforms has a 140,000 ft² of fabrication facility space on 14 acres where it produces engineered products to nationally recognized standards including ASME, TEMA, and NBIC, serving customers across industrial, chemical, petrochemical, biofuels, and energy markets. Metalforms has earned a reputation for delivering outstanding quality TEMA heat exchangers, ASME pressure vessels, and related services—including 24-7 emergency maintenance & repair response.
TransTech Announces New Divisions and Formation of TransTech Group to Streamline Operations, Drive Growth
